About me
Born in Tuzla, March 1983. Working as a medical physicist at KBC Zagreb (kbc-zagreb.hr). Married.
What I do & think
This section is most important. Yet it is not complete. Newest thoughts first.
Lectures & speeches I like
Hrvoje Buljan — Quantum Physics (propagation of light): 3 h of lectures
featuring two computer codes: (1) Schrödinger equation solver (Euler method),
(2) Eigenvalue finder. Demonstrates what is written in Sakurai's standard quantum physics textbook.
T. R. Mackie — "Don't predict future, you make it."
Jesus — "Do you love me, Simon..."
John 21 ·
KES Duhovni kutak: Rane tvoje krvare
Birthday party @SKAC — One great girl had a thesis: "You must have money to live."
I opposed: "You can live on a piece of land, like Robinson Crusoe." In short: I was wrong.
Formula worth knowing
Rarely known but very useful formula from Neven Elezović's high school handbook of mathematics:
Example 1: A product costs 10 €. After 7 years of 5% inflation: type
10*exp(0.05*7) in Google.
Example 2: Run your loan and salary through this formula.
Equivalent to a loan payment table where time is divided into infinitely small intervals.
Other thoughts
Having understood the principle of MR imaging in 2011, I started believing it can be improved
because there is a need for better imaging in medicine.
In Aug. 2018 I was experimenting with TV signal (PAL) on Arduino and DSO-138 oscilloscope.
Every measurement must be accompanied with memorising: seeing a picture on TV is one way;
seeing the
signal
is the first analytical step; writing it to disk is the second; reconstructing TV scan lines is the third.
I studied sports betting. I believe it's possible to win with good statistical analysis. Wasted time,
but learned programming. Some code & data from 2010 available to friends.
Nowadays I see no point — there are better ways to earn.
I wanted to hold a kids' workshop on robotics, programming & hobby electronics.
Someone else did it instead:
link.
The idea no longer interests me as much.
